As the class of 1978 from Wheeling Park High School, we were the second class to graduate from a newly formed high school that opened in 1976 and incorporated the 3 area high schools in Ohio County: Wheeling, Warwood, and Triadelphia. This new melting pot of many personalities and talents of both staff and students created synergy that had far reaching effects. New friendships flourished that may never have happened outside of consolidation. Upon graduation, some of our classmates stayed within the workforce of this community while others spread out across the country and even the globe, making contributions too numerous to even list. We are proud of our fellow classmates who took their WPHS educations and friendships and did unimaginable things, and we remain thankful to the staff at WPHS who took their time and talents and invested them into the students of WPHS class of 1978.
